Bluetooth Smart Technology Takes Your Pulse

Update: Nonin Medical was selected as a finalist in the Bluetooth Breakthrough Awards. Nonin Medical, Inc. recently announced FDA clearance for the Nonin Model 3230 Bluetooth® Smart finger pulse monitor. The device sends the data gathered from the sensor via Bluetooth Smart technology to an app on your smartphone. The sensor sports some interesting features. CorrectCheck™ helps patients with correct finger placement and SmartPoint™ automatically determines when the device is ready to transmit a high-quality measurement. We’ve seen some really interesting medical products adopt Bluetooth Smart this year. The Nonin device is another great example of how Bluetooth Smart provides a way to create actionable intelligence for health care. By providing information quickly to Bluetooth Smart compatible devices, patients and doctors can intervene to make better health decisions.
